in partnership with Cardiff University
The Cardiff University – IWA debate series brings together researchers, policymakers and practitioners to discuss topical issues at the heart of politics, society and the economy in Wales. Challenging assumptions and offering fresh thinking, the sessions support informed policymaking through constructive and engaging debate.
Following hot on the heels of the Parliamentary Review of Health and Social Care in Wales, Vaughan Gething’s announcement of £5.5 million for digital priorities within the Welsh NHS, and the Wales Audit Office report on NHS Infomatics, this event will bring together a diverse panel to give their insights into this important and timely discussion.
Confirmed speakers are:
- Dr Rachel Rahman, Senior Lecturer, Psychology Department, Aberystwyth University
- Dr Kerry Bailey, GP, Consultant in Public Health, and Health Lead, We Predict
- Dr Mike Reddy, Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Science, University of South Wales
- Professor Marcus Longley, Chair, Cwm Taf University Health Board
