Dylan Moore introduces 30 people working to make Wales better over the next 30 years
First revealed in the IWA magazine the welsh agenda, The Next Thirty is part of the Institute’s thirtieth anniversary celebrations.
To mark three decades of the IWA’s role in making Wales better, we decided to look forward to ‘the next thirty years’ by introducing some of the people who will be shaping ‘the Welsh agenda’ as the future unfolds. We have teamed up with PricewaterhouseCoopers and their #greatwales campaign, which celebrates the ideas and people who contribute to the Wales of the future.
We asked IWA members, Click on Wales readers and our followers on Twitter to nominate those people who have made their mark in the public square already, or who may be working quietly but influentially behind the scenes or below the radar in a range of fields.
In politics, law, technology and business; health, social care and education; public service, community and charity work; culture, media and sport, our readers and members did us proud. We received a deluge of fantastic nominations, and are really excited to present what we feel is a wonderful list.
Far from definitive (no such list could ever be that), the thirty people who will be introduced over the next thirty days offer a genuine snapshot of a modern, inclusive and talented Wales.
So impressed were we by the range of talent, experience and potential represented by The Next Thirty, we decided to extend the project well beyond the usual confines of a magazine feature.
Each day, throughout the month of June, we will celebrate the exceptional people on the Next 30 list by publishing a short pen portrait here on Click on Wales, as well as raising their profile on Twitter using #IWAnext30 and #GreatWales to highlight the exciting contributions these people are making to Wales’ future.
