Adeiladu o’r Gwaelod: Darparu lles a gwytnwch trwy berchnogaeth gymunedol
Ymunwch â’r Sefydliad Materion Cymreig a Phrifysgol Bangor i drafod rôl hanfodol modelau perchnogaeth gymunedol a mentrau cymdeithasol wrth fynd i’r afael â heriau economaidd lleol.
Mae awdurdodau lleol a Chynghorau Cymuned ledled Cymru’n wynebu heriau ariannol, yn ei chael hi’n anodd cadw asedau a chyfleusterau i fynd, ac yn gorfod gwneud mwy a mwy o doriadau arwyddocaol i gyllidebau yn ystod y flwyddyn. Gyda thoriadau yn y sector cyhoeddus a rhagolygon economaidd llwm parhaus, mae grwpiau a mentrau lleol yn dod at ei gilydd i brynu, rheoli a chynnal eu hasedau. Mae hyn yn eu galluogi i fynd i’r afael â rheoli’r economi leol sylfaenol.
Bydd y digwyddiad hwn yn archwilio twf mentrau cymunedol a pherchnogaeth leol fel enghreifftiau o ddatrysiadau o’r gwaelod i fyny mewn perthynas â’r heriau lleol y mae cymunedau gogledd Cymru’n eu hwynebu. Mae ymdrechion o’r fath yn dangos bod rhyddhau capasiti i gymunedau’n grymuso pobl leol i ddod o hyd i ddatrysiadau diriaethol, a rhoi’r datrysiadau hynny ar waith, wrth feithrin gwytnwch lleol. Ymunwch â ni wrth i ni archwilio amrywiaeth o faterion, gan gynnwys tai, iechyd, trafnidiaeth ac ynni cymunedol, ac ystyried rôl bwysig modelau perchnogaeth gymunedol a mentrau cymdeithasol yn y gogledd.

Building from the Bottom: Delivering wellbeing and resilience through community ownership
Join the IWA and Bangor University as we discuss the vital role of social enterprises and community ownership models in tackling local economic challenges.
Across Wales, local authorities and Community Councils are on a financial tight-rope, struggling to keep assets and facilities running, and are increasingly having to make significant in-year budget cuts. With public sector cuts and an ongoing bleak economic forecast, local groups and enterprises are coming together to purchase, manage and sustain their assets. In doing so, they are taking a stake in managing the foundational local economy.
This event will explore the growth of community enterprises and local ownership as examples of communities’ own bottom-up solutions in the face of local challenges in north Wales. Such endeavours show how, through releasing capacity to communities, local people can be empowered to find and deliver tangible solutions while building local resilience. Join us as we examine a range of issues including housing, health, transport and community energy, and consider the important role of social enterprises and community ownership models in the north of the country.
The event will be chaired by Professor Andrew Edwards, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Bangor University, who will be joined by:
