Workshop 3: Surveys that work
With the arrival of online survey services such as SurveyMonkey, Typeform and Google Forms, conducting your own survey has never been easier or cheaper. But are you getting the results that you need and the data that you can trust and use?
This workshop provides you with the key skills to plan, design and implement practical surveys by covering:
- What to ask
- Who to ask, and
- How you ask them
Using practical examples and short exercises, this workshop provides an introduction to basic survey skills and is aimed at both beginners and those who want to refresh or build upon their previous research experience.
These workshops are developed and delivered in partnership with Dr Rob Rowlands, Director of Rob Rowlands Research.
Having trained in planning and housing, and with a PhD in Urban Geography, Rob has over 20 years experience working at some of the UK’s top universities responding to, developing and managing research. He has helped a wide range of organisations, from national and international governments, local and regional councils, to private businesses and charities, to develop research skills and critical thinking to find the answers they need to make a positive difference.
